curb crawlers

This photo is probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever posted on the website. It is a picture of a large, black and white spotted beetle that just happened to be stuck to the curb in front of my home. I am positive that it is not a common sight among the average person, let alone a person who lives in a city. I saw this in my front yard about a week ago and was thrilled when I saw it.

It looks like the beetle is a moth.

They are the perfect people to use in my story because they are all very smart, and they are all very strange. They are the ones I want to write into the story because they are the ones who would want to do this in the first place.
